Speakers Guideline

International Conference of the Pakistan Menopause Society, 22nd -23rd Aug 2026.

Presentation Time Limits:

Please note the time allotted for your category of presentation:

  • Oral Free Paper: 8 minutes
  • Invited Speaker: 10 minutes
  • Plenary Speaker: 15 minutes

A dedicated Q&A/discussion period will follow at the end of each session, moderated by the session chair. Please do not exceed your speaking time to allow for discussion.

Time-Keeping System (Oral Presentation):

To keep all sessions running on schedule, the following bell system will be used:

  • First bell: A single bell will sound when 90 seconds remain, indicating you should begin concluding your talk.
  • Final bell: Three consecutive bells will sound when your time is over. At this point, the screen and microphone will be switched off automatically.

Kindly respect your allocated time. Even a short delay can disrupt the entire day’s programme, as the schedule runs across four consecutive sessions.

Notification of Acceptance:

You will receive a notification at your registered email address confirming:

  • Whether your paper has been accepted as an Invited Speaker presentation or an Oral Free Paper
  • Your assigned session, date, and time slot

Slide Preparation & Format:

  • An official PowerPoint template, designed according to the conference theme, is available on the conference website. Please use this template for your slides.
  • Ensure all text, images, and data on your slides are clear and easily readable, including from the back of the hall (minimum font size of 24 pt for body text; avoid dense paragraphs).
  • Slides must be in 16:9 (widescreen) aspect ratio and submitted in .pptx (Microsoft PowerPoint) format. Embed any videos directly in the file (MP4 recommended) rather than linking externally.
  • Presentations should be in English.
  • Please declare any conflicts of interest / financial disclosures on a slide immediately after your title slide.
  • Please include one introductory slide about yourself at the beginning of your presentation — a brief professional profile (name, designation, affiliation) — so the session moderator can use it to introduce you to the audience.

Submission of Slides:

Please submit your final PowerPoint presentation in advance to the correct email address for your category:

Kindly ensure you send your slides to the email address designated for your category. Submissions sent to an incorrect address may not be received or processed, so please double-check before sending.

Please also ensure your submitted file includes your one-slide self-introduction along with your presentation slides, so the moderator can introduce you smoothly and the programme runs without delay.

Deadline: Please submit your final slides by 5th Aug 2026 before the conference.

On-site backup: Even if you have submitted in advance, please also bring your presentation on a USB flash drive as a backup, and report to the Speaker Preview / Ready Room at least 30–45 minutes before your session to upload and check your slides.

On the Day — Important Notes:

  • Personal laptops will generally not be connected to the main projector; presentations will run from the central conference system. Please ensure your slides are uploaded in advance.
  • Please be seated in the session hall at least 15 minutes before your session begins and introduce yourself to the session chair/moderator.
  • Arrive early enough to familiarise yourself with the podium, microphone, laser pointer, and slide advancer.
  • A member of the technical/AV team will be available in the Speaker Ready Room for any assistance.

We look forward to your participation and thank you for helping us keep the programme running smoothly.
